• Hiking and excursion: right alongside the house there is the GR-1 (from Ripoll to Camprodon) and short walking paths that surround the municipal district of Sant Joan de les Abadesses, whereby you can see the fountains, hermitages, mountains, countryside and places of interest. At a distance of 1.5 km you will find the "Ruta del Ferro and del Carbó" (from Sant Joan to the mines of Ogassa and to Ripoll), and the GR-3 (from Sant Joan to Vallfogona of the Ripollès).


• Mountain bicycle: in Sant Joan we have a BTT Centre, (for mountain bikes) where you can go on many signalled routes of different levels of difficulty, whereby two pass right by "La Batllia". Furthermore, the "Ruta del Ferro" allows you to take walks or go on bicycle. It is adequate for all ages due to its flat trajectory, of a railway origin.

• Skiing: lthe fans of this sport can visit the ski resorts of Vallter 2000, Núria, La Molina or Masella.

• Extreme sports: in the Ripollès there are firms that practice this kind of sport, mountain climbing, canyoning, bungee jumping, kayaks, excursions with quads and proposals for all ages.

• Itineraries for visiting monuments: our region of the Ripollès has the privilege of being first in Catalonia with regard to the art and history of Catalonia, and this in Sant Joan de les Abadesses, in Ripoll, in the Valley of Camprodon and the Valley of Ribes.

• Others: you can dedicate yourself to fishing in the Ter River, 200 metres away from the house, go horseback riding, which is at a 20-minute distance, take the little ones for pony rides 2 km away, go looking for wild mushrooms, berries or medicinal herbs, everything right at the foot of the house.
